Approach To Leadership

These are the values that shape how I lead, how I engage with the community, and how I make decisions. They reflect what I believe local government should be: responsive, transparent, and grounded in the realities of everyday life in Ward Anirniq.

Clear, Consistent, and Accountable

People don’t need spin. They need straight answers. Residents deserve to know how decisions are made, even when they don’t agree with them. When transparency is missing, misinformation fills the gap. I will provide regular updates in plain language, explain key decisions, and be honest about what’s working and what isn’t. That is how trust is built and how it is kept.

Data That Drives Real Change

We can’t afford million-dollar mistakes made off shallow surveys and weak reports. As a researcher, I know the difference between good data and convenient data. I’ll push for strong evidence, tested methods, and lived experience to inform policies that actually work. That means combining the numbers with what people are seeing and living every day.

Community Focus

Policy should start with the people it affects. Too often, City Hall falls back on one-size-fits-all solutions or performative engagement that ignores what is actually happening in our neighbourhoods. Every part of Ward Anirniq has its own strengths, gaps, and priorities. I will keep working directly with residents to ensure their voices shape what gets done and how it gets done.

Open and Responsive

Leadership means staying open, not stuck. Priorities change, challenges evolve, and government needs to respond. I will listen continuously, adapt when necessary, and adjust course based on what is working and what is not. That kind of leadership keeps us focused on outcomes, not just promises.

Results-Oriented

Residents should be able to see the impact of decisions in their daily lives, including safer streets, better services, and more reliable infrastructure. I will bring a disciplined, results-driven approach to this work. That means setting clear goals, measuring progress, following through, and holding both myself and City Hall accountable for delivering.
